Districts

Neighbourhoods to Know

Al Quoz

Dubai's actual art district — warehouse spaces converted into galleries, a massive Time Out Market, and the Alserkal Avenue complex. Not glamorous. More interesting for it.

Caution

Things To Avoid

Public displays of affection

Dubai's laws are more relaxed than neighbouring emirates, but public kissing and embracing can result in a fine or detention. This applies to all couples regardless of nationality.

Tip: Apply the same standards you'd use in a conservative European context.
