Getting To & From Trn

Train services connect Turin Airport (TRN) directly to Turin Porta Susa station in approximately 30 minutes, operating daily with a standard one-way fare of €3.70. SADEM shuttle buses also link the terminal to Turin's main railway hubs (Porta Susa and Porta Nuova) in about 45 to 50 minutes. Official taxis are stationed directly outside the arrivals exit, offering fixed or metered rates into the city center (typically €35 to €45) with a travel time of roughly 30 minutes. Car rental desks are located within the terminal building.

Terminals & Getting Around

Terminals

Turin Airport operates out of a single, modern, two-level passenger terminal handling both domestic and international traffic. The ground floor hosts check-in desks and arrivals, while the first floor houses security screening, boarding gates, and retail concessions. Because the facility is entirely consolidated into one building, inter-terminal transfers do not apply, and walking times from check-in to any gate take only a few minutes.

Hours of Operation

The passenger terminal opens approximately two hours before the first scheduled departure of the day and closes after the arrival of the last flight. It is not a 24-hour facility, and overnight stays airside are generally not permitted.

Know Before You Go

Practical Tips

  • Security Wait Times: While security processing is generally efficient, queues can spike during morning departure banks and peak winter ski weekends; budget extra time or purchase an optional Fast Track pass (€8, about US$9) if travelling during peak hours.
  • Boarding Procedures: Many aircraft stands use remote bus boarding rather than direct jet bridges, requiring a brief walk across the tarmac or a short shuttle ride.
  • Connection Windows: For self-transfers or mixed-ticket itineraries, allow a generous minimum connection window to account for regional train schedules or road traffic from the city center.

Comfort

Lounges

Turin-Caselle Airport features a single primary independent lounge in the main terminal: the Piemonte Lounge, situated airside on the upper level past security. It participates in programs like Priority Pass and offers panoramic views of the runway and the Alps, self-serve beverages, flight monitors, and workspaces. Daily access can be bought online or at the airport ticket office, and the price includes Fast Track security. Check the airport website for the current price and hours (about 4:30 AM to 9:00 PM). Airline-dedicated carrier lounges are otherwise unavailable, reflecting the airport's compact regional footprint.

Staying Online

Wi-Fi & Charging

Passengers at TRN can access complimentary, unlimited Wi-Fi across the terminal by connecting to the Torino Airport Wi-Fi network and registering with an email address. While functional for casual browsing and emails, performance can fluctuate during peak bank departure waves. Mobile device charging infrastructure is available throughout the terminal, though outlets remain somewhat sparse in general seating areas; travelers are advised to scout columns and designated work spaces for reliable plugs.

Eat & Drink

Food & Dining

Dining options span both public and airside zones, highlighting regional Piedmontese food culture. Post-security highlights include a major experiential Eataly space on the upper departures level featuring a cafΓ©, market, and restaurant seating, alongside Open Baladin for artisanal craft beers and gourmet burgers. Traditional Italian coffee and light bites are available at Autogrill Piazza Castello, while quick-service selections feature Bufala Shop.

Driving In

Parking

Turin Airport operates several official on-site parking facilities managed directly by SAGAT, positioned within a brief walk of the terminal:

  • Multi-Storey Car Park: Covered parking across levels 1 through 4, positioned immediately opposite the terminal, with level 5 offering an open-air deck. Rates scale from roughly €7 for an hour up to €25–€81 for a week depending on advance booking.
  • P-A Long Term: An open-air lot featuring 150 stalls intended for stays exceeding five days.
  • P-B Comfort: Outdoor surface parking featuring 22 kW Atlante electric vehicle charging stalls. The first 15 minutes are free for quick drop-offs.
  • P-C Low Cost & P-E Smart: Budget-focused open-air spaces requiring online pre-booking.

A 10-minute free grace period is also supported at the Bye&Fly express drop-off lanes.

Staying Nearby

Nearby Hotels

There are no full-service hotels physically integrated within the TRN terminal structure. However, several options operate within a short drive or shuttle distance:

  • Jet Hotel: Located close to the terminal (listings give about 0.5 to 1.3 km), frequently utilized by airline crews and transit travelers.
  • Best Western Plus Hotel Le Rondini: Situated about 3 km away in a quiet nearby setting, offering comfortable upscale amenities. Ask the hotel about airport transfers.
  • Flying Hotel & Hotel Niagara: Situated within a 2-to-3-kilometer radius, providing straightforward transit connections to the airport grounds.

For a short rest inside the terminal, Zzzleepandgo sleep pods are on the departures floor (landside, per Sleeping in Airports).
