An Early Rush on Scandinavian Skies

Scandinavians didn't wait for peak summer to start moving. The Norwegian Group carried 2.8 million travelers in June alone, as holidaymakers locked in their trips earlier than usual. It's a strong total, proving that summer getaway bookings are pulling forward faster than in previous years.

Norwegian Holds the Mainline

Look closer at the core brand and the momentum is obvious. Norwegian itself accounted for 2.4 million of those passengers. Management added extra capacity to meet expected demand, and that bet paid off: extra seats on the schedule ended up filling faster, resulting in busier cabins than during the same stretch last year.

Widerøe Pulls Its Weight

Regional flying did plenty of heavy lifting, too. Widerøe added another 404,000 passengers to the group's June tally. Much like its parent company, the regional carrier bumped up its flight capacity and carried more people than it did twelve months ago. For anyone moving around the region, that dual growth points toward a sharper, far more resilient network.
